A message from the Chef

7-Course Seasonal Wagyu Beef & Tempura Kaiseki Dinner

I opened this restaurant in 2015 after working in sake specialty shops and hotels.
What I hope to share here is not just the taste of sake and food, but also the stories of the people who make them and the traditions of each region of Japan.

I select the freshest fish and vegetables of the season and prepare them in an omakase style. For the sake, I listen to each guest’s preferences and recommend different brews, one glass at a time.

Please relax and enjoy the quiet atmosphere, where Japanese flavors and culture come together.

About

Nezu Nihonshu Tada is a restaurant specializing in Japanese sake and traditional cuisine, located in Nezu, an area that still preserves the charm of old Tokyo. Since opening in 2015, the restaurant has pursued the perfect balance of seasonal ingredients and carefully selected sake, all served in a serene space.

Every meal is offered as an omakase course created by the chef, with sake pairings suggested one glass at a time. The sake is sourced from breweries across Japan, chosen not only for their flavors, but also with respect for the story and craftsmanship behind each brew.

As seats are available by reservation only, guests can enjoy an relaxed and peaceful dining experience. For those who do not drink alcohol, a selection of premium Japanese teas is also available.

Specialty & Dining Philosophy

Japanese sake takes center stage at Nezu Nihonshu Tada. The restaurant values not only the flavor of each brew but also the history, regional character, and philosophy of the brewers who craft it.

Sake is carefully served one glass at a time, with attention to detail in the vessel, temperature, and pouring style to bring out its finest qualities. Each pairing is thoughtfully matched with seasonal dishes, allowing guests to experience the depth of sake alongside the natural flavors of Japanese ingredients.

In addition to sake, the restaurant also offers select Japanese teas, including sencha brewed in transparent teapots, providing a refined alternative for guests who do not drink alcohol.
