We offer traditional, Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine, which has a history of over 1,200 years! The basic principle of Kyoto cuisine (known as kyo-ryori) is to make the most of each ingredient we use. We serve seasonal Kyoto cuisine with the best ingredients such as seafood from the surrounding waters, Kyoto vegetables, Kyoto rice, Kyoto meat, and more, without adding unnecessary touches.
You can relax at a table, or sit at the wood counter, where you can enjoy the view of our chefs at work. We look forward to welcoming you to dine with us in Kyoto!
Located in the serene Higashiyama area of Kyoto city (near Nanzenji Temple), this traditional kaiseki restaurant accepts customers exclusively by reservations-only. Enjoy the intimate atmosphere and traditions of a long-established restaurant that places emphasis on the conversations between customers and chefs. Almost all ingredients used at this kaiseski restaurant are sourced locally from Kyoto or the surrounding area. The traditional flavors and techniques that have been passed down from generation to generation can not only be enjoyed in the ingredients, but also in the seasonings such as miso, soy sauce, sake, vinegar, and even the water.
Pair your kaiseki dinner with original Japanese sake made from a brewery in the Kitayama area of Kyoto, or local wine from a winery in the Tamba area of Kyoto.
