A message from the Chef

6-Course Omakase Sushi Course with Japanese Sake Pairing

From the moment I began my training at Kanpachi, I was captivated by the depth and precision of Edomae sushi. Over the years, I’ve come to appreciate not only the craftsmanship, but also the importance of creating a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere for each guest.

At Sushidokoro Sen, I strive to carry on the legacy of the flavors and techniques passed down to me, while adding my own creative touches. Every dish is made with care—from the sushi and seasonal sides to the soy sauce and pickled ginger, which are all prepared in-house.

I hope to offer an experience that feels both refined and familiar—one where the flavors of each season can be enjoyed at their best.

About

Tucked away on a quiet street in Yushima, Sushidokoro Sen is a small, intimate sushi restaurant led by a chef with over 15 years of experience in traditional Edomae techniques.

The space blends sophistication with warmth, featuring counter seating that allows guests to observe each movement of the chef up close—an immersive experience that brings the preparation process to life.
The omakase course is shaped daily by the availability of fresh ingredients, offering a balance of tradition and creativity. Each visit promises something new, yet grounded in the fundamentals of Japanese cuisine. Whether you are a local resident or visiting from afar, we invite you to enjoy a calm and thoughtful dining experience.

Course Menu

Locally-Sourced Ingredients

Seafood is hand-selected each morning from Toyosu and Tsukiji markets, with a focus on fish native to Japan’s coastal waters. Carefully aged and prepared neta are paired with sushi rice seasoned to complement each variety.

Fresh wasabi from Shizuoka, Kyoto vegetables, and seasonal produce are used throughout the course, while housemade elements—from soy sauce to pickled ginger and desserts—highlight our commitment to quality.
The chef personally curates a sake selection that features rare and limited-edition bottles, matched to each course. For wine lovers, we offer a refined list of white wines chosen specifically to pair with Japanese cuisine.
