Through our dishes, we strive to convey the traditions of Japanese cuisine and offer authentic flavors that are the culinary creations of all of our chefs. Our hope is that when customers dine with us, they are able to enjoy both the taste and omotenashi hospitality we offer in a refined atmosphere.
This traditional Japanese restaurant is located in the Kiyamachi neighborhood of Kyoto, which overlooks the banks of the gently flowing Takasegawa River. Choose to sit at the counter or table seating in a refined atmosphere.
The counter is made of hinoki Japanese cypress, which was specially commissioned by the founder of this restaurant. If you sit at the counter, you’ll be able to see the chef’s hands at work, and enjoy the entire dining process from cooking to serving. There is also a semi-private room in the back of the restaurant that can accommodate 2 to 4 guests, perfect for groups or special occasion dinners.

The chefs at this restaurant offer traditional Kyoto-style kaiseki cuisine with seasonal flavors and the spirit of Japanese ‘omotenashi’ hospitality. Each dish is carefully prepared using only the best seasonal ingredients, and created one by one so that each showcases a depth of flavor.
The base of many of their dishes is their handmade dashi stock : freshly shaved dried bonito flakes carefully prepared in a way that maximizes the flavor of each ingredients.
