We’ve been loved by locals and visitors of Kyoto since it was first established (my father was the original owner-chef). And now we now have the pleasure of welcoming customers from all over Japan and the world who tell us, “When I return to Kyoto, I will stop by again.”
We try to offer only the best seasonal dishes and delicacies while welcoming everyone with our ‘omotenashi’. We hope that when our customers come to visit, it is a place that they can relax and unwind comfortably, while enjoying our kaiseki cuisine.
ーChef Tanaka
Enjoy an authentic Kyoto-style Kaiseki.
Just a few steps away from the historical Yasaka Shrine of Gion, enter a hidden alleyway to discover an intimate establishment located inside of a traditional Japanese architecture (known as machiya). Here, you’ll find Chef Tanaka, his wife, and just one other chef offering some of the most exquisite Kyoto-style cuisine. The ingredients served in this kaiseki are some of the freshest that you’ll find in Kyoto. Every morning, Chef Tanaka visits Kyoto’s Central Wholesale Market to select the freshest seasonal fish and produce to prepare your kaiseki of the day.

The restaurant asks that all guests within the same group select the same kaiseki dinner course. This is to ensure that all guests are able to enjoy each dish in its freshest state, and, as each dish is prepared one-by-one, everyone is able to savor the dinner together.
