This traditional Japanese kappo restaurant is tucked away in a narrow alley near Gion’s famous Tatsumi-bashi Bridge. The chef has been specializing in Japanese cuisine for over 20 years, having had trained at famous hotels and restaurants throughout Kyoto.
Choose to sit at the counter to admire the chef’s skills and techniques up close, or relax at a horigotatsu-style table (sunken table) with 4 seats, to enjoy a meal with family and friends.

The restaurant is proud of its selection of wild fish directly from Awaji Island and Wakasa Bay, Kyoto vegetables sourced directly from local farmers, and even the plates & bowls that each dish is served in. The ingredients in their dashi stock, which can be said is the basis of Japanese cuisine, includes carefully selected rishiri kelp and maguro tuna to bring out a delicate aroma and deep flavor.
Each course expresses the changes of the four seasons, showcasing delicate flavors, aromas, textures and colorful ingredients. This is a meal that is sure to delight all of your senses.
